What we check
An IFHA credential is a digitally signed document, like a seal that cannot be copied. When you verify it, we check four things:
- That IFHA signed itThe signature is checked against the public key IFHA publishes on its own domain (did:web:ifha.com.ar). No one else can produce it.
- That no one altered itIf a single character changes (the name, the date or the program), the signature no longer matches.
- That it is still validWe check the status list IFHA publishes in real time: if it was revoked, replaced or has expired, you will see it.
- That it can be checked without IFHAIt follows Open Badges 3.0, an open standard: any compatible verifier reaches the same result, without going through IFHA.
